RDU is making lots of preparations for continued passenger growth — next, two airlines are set to relocate from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1.
Breeze Airways will move to RDU’s Terminal 1 beginning April 2, 2024. The airline launched its inaugural Raleigh-Durham service last year.
And Sun Country Airlines will shift from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 when its seasonal service resumes April 17.
The relocations are necessary to provide capacity for airlines that operate out of Terminal 2 — including RDU’s international flights, which require access to the airport’s U.S. Customs facilities.
Breeze and Sun Country flyers have plenty to explore in Terminal 1, including dining, shopping and other amenities.
Not sure which terminal your flight will embark from? Double-check your boarding pass, or your airline’s mobile app. We’ll also have signage ready on the day of the move to make sure you know where you’re going.
Meanwhile, you can find a Terminal 1 directory and map on RDU’s website.
