The Triangle Takeoff Coalition’s “Carry On” multimedia campaign has earned top honors for best Overall Public Relations Program for a medium-sized airport. Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) announced the first-place award Sunday at its annual trade association conference in Reno, Nev.
The coalition is an alliance of global, national and regional businesses who understand the importance of Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) to the Triangle region and recognize that we must maintain global connectivity to thrive. The “Carry On” campaign ran on TV, in social media and online throughout the summer and fall, with five goals in mind:
- Securing critical domestic and international travel destinations for the long-term
- Sustaining a competitive economic environment
- Building confidence in the safety of air travel
- Reinforcing a commitment to the region’s recovery
- Maintaining the Triangle’s status as a Top Place to Live and Work
The centerpiece of the campaign were commercials filmed and produced by Triangle-based Amazing Studios, with creative concepts by David Salmon. You can watch here.
Companies who took part in the Coalition sponsored the campaign through financial and in-kind contributions.
