TSA opens two new security checkpoint lanes in Terminal
RDU Airport, NC – July 4 travel is in full swing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. An estimated 170,000 people are expected to travel through RDU during the holiday travel period, which began yesterday and ends Tuesday, July 5. The busiest days will be today, Friday and Tuesday. On each of these days, more than 32,000 passengers are expected to travel through the airport.
TSA Opens Two Security Checkpoint Lanes in Terminal 2
The Transportation Security Administration last week opened two additional security checkpoint lanes in Terminal 2. The agency now has 10 available lanes in RDU’s busiest terminal. The additional lanes will be operated as needed during peak travel times.

USO Center at RDU to Hold Fundraiser
The USO Center at RDU will have volunteers in Terminal 2 today from 3 to 6 p.m. as part of a fundraiser to support the center’s operations.
Volunteers will be distributing cupcakes to customers. Live music will also be featured.
Donation boxes will also be placed in select restaurants and shops throughout July.
