Chances are you’re a fan of our non-stop routes from RDU to San Francisco and Los Angeles. Both cities were among our 10 most popular destinations for 2013. If you fly, or dream of flying, non-stop from RDU to the West Coast, here’s some great news. Airlines are adding extra flights on both the LAX and SFO routes.
San Francisco

United’s RDU- San Francisco route is about to get even better with the addition of a second daily flight as well as new connection opportunities to Asia.
Beginning April 1 (and no, not an April Fool’s joke), you can choose both a morning and evening departure from RDU and a morning and afternoon departure from San Francisco. The new flight times are:
RDU-SFO*
7 a.m. (Eastern) – 9:46 a.m. (Pacific)
6:31 p.m. – 9:24 p.m.
SFO-RDU*
9:41 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
2:36 p.m. – 10:40 p.m.

The second daily flight brings improved connections to Asia. United Airlines begins non-stop service from San Francisco to Taipei on March 29 and to Chengdu, China on June 9.
The airline is also working with government regulators to begin non-stop service from SFO- Tokyo-Haneda airport, which is located closer to downtown Tokyo than Narita Airport, which you can currently reach via SFO.
In addition, find great connections via our two non-stop San Francisco routes to:
- Beijing
- Hong Kong
- Osaka
- Seoul
