Did you know that more than 55,000 passengers pass through Passport Control at Raleigh-Durham International Airport each year?  For many of those travelers entering the United States here, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility is familiar territory. 

One of my favorite times to walk through the terminals is late in the afternoon on the first Friday of each month. If you’ve ever been at Raleigh-Durham International Airport then, you might have heard, among the sounds of boarding announcements and planes taking off, music filling the terminals. 

This morning, while taking construction photos in Terminal 1 for our updates on Facebook, I was struck by how much the building has changed in only 11 weeks. Even though I walk through it every week, today I found myself having a hard time finding familiar reference points.
