People tell me all the time stories about the airport. How they used to come out here as children and watch planes take off. How they remember when you could park your car next to the building and walk straight to your plane in minutes flat.

As the Airport Authority’s Customer Relations Manager, taking exceptional care of our customers is constantly on my mind. I would love for us to have enough staff to individually greet and care for every person who walks into the terminal or arrives at the gate. 

Recently, Mitchell Lewis invited our airport director, Mike Landguth, to join him on set for WUNC-TV’s NC Now and I was able to tag along.  During the extended interview, Mike answered questions about his career, new air service and, yes, the future of the Big Blue Box, also known as Terminal 1.
