Alert: Economy 4 Closes to Guests in January, Becomes Employee-only Parking

The ParkRDU Economy 4 lot near I-540 and U.S. 70 will permanently close to airport guests on Jan. 2 and convert to employee-only parking as we expand the ParkRDU Economy 3 lot. Guests will continue to have multiple options for convenient, on-airport parking that meet a variety of preferences and budgets: 

  • ParkRDU Premier: Located on the ground level of the parking garage between Terminals 1 and 2, Premier provides direct walking access to both terminals and features dedicated spaces in a covered area for ultimate ease and convenience.  
    • 1091 Airport Boulevard, Morrisville, NC 27560  
  • ParkRDU Central: Offers covered and outdoor spaces in the central parking garage and is within easy walking distance of Terminals 1 and 2.

  • ParkRDU Express: Great for families or travelers with extra luggage, this option offers a short, comfortable shuttle ride from your vehicle to the terminals with luggage assistance and free bottled water.  
    • 1725 West International Drive, Morrisville, NC 27560 
  • ParkRDU Economy 3: Has the lowest daily rates at RDU and offers free 24/7 shuttle service to the terminals every 20 minutes.     
    • 1020 National Guard Drive, Morrisville, NC 27560 

The Park Economy 3 lot is undergoing a major expansion that, when completed, will provide more parking spaces and amenities than ever before, including: 

  • 7,000 additional spaces. 
  • A Customer Amenity Building. 
  • Electric vehicle chargers. 
  • Solar panels. 
  • An innovative stormwater management system. 

Driving to ParkRDU Economy 3: Travelers coming from locations north of the airport can save time and avoid road congestion by following I-540 to southbound Aviation Parkway, then turning left at Sheetz at the intersection of southbound Aviation Parkway and National Guard Drive. The entrance to the ParkRDU Economy 3 lot is on the right.
