Daily San Diego Service to Launch in April

Travelers at RDU will have more options for flying to San Diego when Alaska Airlines begins daily service to the southern California city next spring.

“We are pleased to expand convenient access to the San Diego market for business and leisure travelers in the Research Triangle region,” said Michael Landguth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority. “The new daily service on Alaska Airlines will provide even greater connectivity from RDU to the West Coast.”

San Diego’s dynamic high-tech, biotech, life sciences and research industries make it a high-demand destination for the Triangle’s business community, while its vibrant cultural attractions and coastline offer vacation opportunities.

Alaska Airlines will be the second carrier to serve San Diego from RDU, with Breeze Airways also offering nonstop service. Alaska plans to launch the route on April 22.
