RDU Airport, N.C. – The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority is redeveloping The Shops of RDU retail program in Terminal 2. Local retailers are invited to attend an information session to learn how to operate a business at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
When redevelopment is complete in 2018, passengers flying through RDU will have a new and expanded selection of retail shops providing specialty items, personal care, gift, newsstands, duty free and other retail offerings. The retail redevelopment will also cover foreign currency exchange providers and ATM operators.
Those interested in learning how to operate a retail shop in the terminals should plan to attend a meeting on Thursday, July 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Airport Authority Administrative Offices, 1000 Trade Drive, RDU Airport, N.C. The two-story office building is located across from Advantage Rent-A-Car in the Rental Car area of the airport.
The meeting is open to all area retail providers, including those who want to learn more about the retail environment at RDU, small and local business and minority and women-owned businesses.
The meeting will cover:
- How to do business at RDU
- Upcoming Terminal 2 business opportunities
- How to prepare for RDU business opportunities
- What it means to be an Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE)
