RDU Closes Economy 4 Parking

Shuttle Service Will Continue for Customers Already Parked There

RDU closed the Economy 4 parking lot Friday after regaining adequate capacity in Central, Premier and Economy 3. The parking deck (Premier and Central) and Park Economy 3 reached capacity on Thanksgiving morning, requiring all guests who did not reserve a space online to park in Economy 4. The airport will continue to shuttle guests already parked in Economy 4 to their cars when they return from their travels.

RDU encourages guests to check parking availability at ParkRDU.com before coming to the airport and reference the electronic signs when deciding where to park. There are 17 electronic parking signs on campus that inform guests which parking options are open to drive-up customers. RDU also recommends travelers arrive two hours early for domestic flights to make sure there is time to find parking, check in, get through security and to the gate on time.
