Salt Lake City Returns

In March 2016, Delta Air Lines is bringing back nonstop service to Salt Lake City. The flight will operate year-round on an Airbus 320 aircraft. The flight will depart RDU at 7:45 a.m. and arrive in SLC at 10:25 a.m. local time. The return flight departs SLC at 5 p.m., returning to RDU at 11:15 p.m. As SLC is a Delta hub, find easy connections to places like Calgary, Can., Sacramento and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Nonstop To Dallas Love Field

On August 9, Southwest Airlines launched new nonstop service from RDU to Dallas Love Field (DAL), near downtown Dallas. The route brings a second way to reach Texas’ largest metropolitan region. Plus, find connections throughout Texas, the Midwest and beyond!

Denver Options Increase

United Airlines is introducing two daily non-stop flights to Denver on Sunday, Sept. 13. The flights, using Embraer 175 aircraft, will be the latest offering to the Mile High City.  Flights depart RDU at 8:20 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. with a 3.5 hour flight to Colorado’s capital. The return flights depart at 10:05 a.m. and 5:20 p.m., Mountain Time.

Currently, Frontier and Southwest also offer nonstop service from RDU to Denver.

Seattle Just Under Two Months Away

In just under two months, Alaska Airlines will begin offering daily nonstop service from RDU to its hub in Seattle.

The highly-anticipated flight departs RDU at 5:50 p.m. and arrives at Sea-Tac Airport at 9 p.m. Pacific Time.

The flight is well-timed for connections throughout the Pacific Northwest, particularly Portland and Anchorage.

Rent a Tablet to Hawaii

Planning your Hawaiian vacation? United Airlines is piloting a program that allows passengers heading from the U.S. mainland to Honolulu or from Honolulu to Guam to rent a tablet while on board the aircraft.

For a fee, passengers can rent a 8.4-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablet preloaded with content.  Remember, you can fly from RDU to Hawaii on United via one quick connection in San Francisco.

Chart a New Course To Belfast

Sticking with United Airlines news, the carrier has announced a new year-round flight from Newark International Airport to Belfast in the United Kingdom’s Northern Ireland.

United offers seven daily nonstop flights from RDU to Newark, allowing you an easy one-stop connection at Newark.

Delta Updating A-319 Aircraft

You may notice an upgrade on your next Delta flight from RDU. The carrier is completing a major renovation of its Airbus 319 fleet. The 132-seat planes will be enhanced with in-flight entertainment at every seat, larger overhead bins, new galleries and other customer service enhancements.  By 2017, the upgrades will be extended to the carrier’s fleet of A-320 aircraft as well.
