March 5, 2019: Notice of Meeting and Public Hearing of the Raleigh-Durham Height Zoning Board of Appeals
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Height Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 9:00 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in Conference Room 100 of the RDU Center (located at 1000 Trade Drive on the Raleigh-Durham International Airport). The purpose of this meeting is to discuss a variance request from the requirements of the Raleigh-Durham International Airport Height Zoning Ordinance:
- Case Number 2019-01 – for purpose of using a crane(s) for installation of bridge pilings at 1-40 and Aviation Parkway Interchange Project site (NCDOT Project ID C204069), up to 170 feet above ground level, at coordinates 35‑51‑02.69N and 78-47-53.70W and 35-50-59.80N and 78-47-55.34W, generally being 1.75 nautical miles south of the RDU airport reference point
and such other matters as might be deemed necessary and appropriate for discussion at that time.

September 27, 2018: ParkRDU Economy 3 Environmental Assessment Public Workshop
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority will hold a public workshop on the proposed ParkRDU Economy 3 Lot Expansion on September 27, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Airport Authority’s offices, in Conference Room 100 of the RDU Center at 1000 Trade Drive on the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Morrisville, NC 27560. RDU officials and consultants will be available to discuss the Environmental Assessment process for the proposed expansion of the ParkRDU Economy 3 lot, slated for airport property south of Terminal 1. Drop in to talk with project staff, review maps and view exhibits. No reservations are necessary. For questions about accessibility or to request an accommodation please contact (919) 840-7700. Requests should be made as soon as possible but at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled workshop.
