September 20, 2018: Notice of Board of Appeals Meeting and Public Hearing of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Height Zoning Board of Appeals
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Height Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 8:30 am on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Conference Room 127A of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority’s Maintenance Facility (located at 200 Haleys Branch Road, Cary, NC 27513, on the Raleigh-Durham International Airport campus, off of National Guard Drive). The purpose of this meeting is to discuss two (2) variance requests from the requirements of the Raleigh-Durham International Airport Height Zoning Ordinance:
- Case Number 2018-02 for permits #2018-12a, #2018-12b, and #2018-12c for the purpose of installing a temporary crane up to 240’ above ground level generally proposed to be located at coordinates 35-53-03.20N 78-49-50.03W, generally being 2.1 nautical miles west of the RDU Airport reference point, and matters related thereto;
- Case Number 2018-03 for the purpose of raising an existing tower an additional 13’ from 255’ above ground level to 268’ above ground level generally proposed to be located at coordinates 35-50-08.23N 78-46-29.07W, generally being 2.45 nautical miles southeast of the RDU Airport reference point, and matters related thereto;
and such other matters as might be deemed necessary and appropriate for discussion at that time.
September 27, 2018: ParkRDU Economy 3 Environmental Assessment Public Workshop
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority will hold a public workshop on the proposed ParkRDU Economy 3 Lot Expansion on September 27, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Airport Authority’s offices, in Conference Room 100 of the RDU Center at 1000 Trade Drive on the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Morrisville, NC 27560. RDU officials and consultants will be available to discuss the Environmental Assessment process for the proposed expansion of the ParkRDU Economy 3 lot, slated for airport property south of Terminal 1. Drop in to talk with project staff, review maps and view exhibits. No reservations are necessary. For questions about accessibility or to request an accommodation please contact (919) 840-7700. Requests should be made as soon as possible but at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled workshop.
