Parking Expansion
Economy parking with eco-friendly features
We’re adding 7,000 economy parking spaces with an on-site Customer Amenities Building, solar panels and EV chargers. The project has been awarded Platinum Envision verification for its sustainable features, the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure’s highest recognition.
Project highlights: The Park Economy 3 Expansion project involves the expansion of the public surface parking lot located near the intersection of Aviation Parkway and National Guard Drive. The lot offers one of the lowest daily parking rates and provides shuttle bus service to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
In March 2025, the project received Platinum Envision verification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. The Envision framework evaluates civil infrastructure projects across a range of sustainability indicators. Platinum is the highest level of recognition.
The existing lot has approximately 3,820 spaces, and the expansion will add 7,000 new spaces to meet future parking demand while maintaining economy parking pricing for airport customers.
The project will also include a single-story Customer Amenity Building. The Customer Amenity Building will enhance the customer experience by providing restrooms, vending machines and a customer lounge with monitors to display flight information. Offices for law enforcement and parking staff will improve customer service in the lot.
Construction began in the fall of 2023. It is expected to be completed in phases through 2026.
