Getting Ready for Opening Day
Terminal 2 is well on its way to being ready for opening day. Crews are busy completing touch-up work on both the interior and exterior of the building. Training is well underway for both Airport Authority and tenant staff on numerous areas of the building. Outside, construction equipment and trailers are being removed from the ramp and are being repositioned for the next phase of work.

Seating units are being installed along the concourse. These units under construction will include tabletops along with standard and USB power outlets.		The Transportation Security Administration has begun to install screening equipment in the security checkpoint area. In phase 1, the security checkpoint will have seven lanes available for use by TSA officers.


Several retail outlets and restaurants are nearing completion of their spaces. Phase 1 will feature 25 shops and restaurants, including Drugs & More, which is located prior to the security checkpoint.		Technicians work to finish the technological components of the terminal's two ticketing islands, including computer equipment, overhead monitors and check-in kiosks.

“Gate of Earth,” the second major art installation for Terminal 2, has recently been installed on the baggage claim level.
