RDU is elevating the experience with the opening of Terminal 2. The latest in airport design and technology are used to guide passengers effortlessly through the terminal while simplifying the security screening process.
The $570 million terminal will be completed in phases between 2008-2011 and is a major milestone in the airport's 20 year development program.
Phase One which opened on Oct. 26, 2008, is home to the following airlines:
- American and American Eagle
- United and United Express
- Air Canada
- Charter Express
- Delta will move from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 on Sunday, Nov. 9.
Phase Two opens in winter 2011. The following airlines will then move into Terminal 2:
- Continental
- Northwest
- US Airways
