Common Use
The backbone of Terminal 2 is a common, or shared, use information technology system that allows the Airport Authority to use space within the facility to ensure maximum efficiency. This technology enables the Airport Authority to assign gates, ticketing positions, baggage claims and more on an as-needed basis. Learn more.
Baggage Handling System
After the September 11 attacks, additional security measures were implemented to ensure that checked luggage was screened for explosive materials, requiring large bulky machines to be placed in the terminal lobbies. In Terminal 2 these machines are part of an automated baggage handling system, removing them from the terminal lobby. Learn more. |
