Terminal 2 features a state-of-the-art baggage system that seamlessly transports your checked luggage from airline check in through the security screening process and to your aircraft.
Terminal 2 Baggage Highlights:
- Check your bags at curbside, one of the traditional check-in counters or electronic kiosks.
- A new, in-line baggage screening system integrates the security screening process into the bag transport system, removing large screening equipment from the terminal lobby.
- The baggage screening system features 10 miles of conveyor belts, 364 motors and 40 computer servers.
- The system can process up to 8,000 bags an hour.
- A baggage system team is on hand 24 hours a day to manage the operation.
- Three baggage claim carousels are operational in Phase One. Two additional carousels will be installed in Phase Two. The carousels are located on the first floor.
