Lane Closed Near Parking Garage
The left lane in front of lower level Terminal C is closed as crews build an additional lane on Terminal Boulevard. The new lane will make space for a curb for commercial vehicles, including RDU Park & Ride and hotel shuttles.
Terminal A
As RDU improves the landscaping in the Terminal A area, the airport is eliminating most surface crosswalks for improved pedestrian safety. In the area near the main baggage claim, surface crosswalks will connect with the commercial curb to access Park & Ride, hotel/motel and rental car shuttles as well as the TTA buses and limousine service. All travelers who wish to access the parking garage from this area will be directed to the underground pedestrian tunnel. This will reduce pedestrian contact with vehicles and also provide an enclosed, climate-controlled environment for travelers during inclement weather.
Travelers using Southwest and AirTran airlines can use the pedestrian tunnel by the main baggage claim or the first surface crosswalk at the north end of Terminal A to enter the terminal-area parking facility.
