RDU Raises Regional Flag

The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority today showed its support for the Triangle Family of Communities regional marketing campaign in a flag raising ceremony at the RDU Authority building.

The Family of Communities campaign has been created to celebrate the region and its individual communities.

The counties of Wake, Durham and Orange kicked off the campaign this morning with ceremonies in each county. A flag representing the Triangle region will hang at the RDU Airport Authority building below the RDU flag to show the airport’s support for our diverse region.

The Family of Communities campaign will feature television, radio and print advertisements that promote the strengths of each community in our region. The goal of the campaign is to develop a greater understanding of who we are as a community, increase cross-regional marketing opportunities and develop a cohesive image that can be used in economic development initiatives.
