RDU Remains Open; Airlines Cancel Flights Through the Afternoon
RDU Airport, NC (12:30 p.m. EST) - Raleigh-Durham International Airport remains open but all airlines have canceled flights for the remainder of the afternoon. Southwest Airlines has canceled its entire flight schedule for Thursday. The following carriers have also canceled all flights scheduled for today: Air Canada, AmericaWest, US Airways, American Airlines and American Eagle. Some airlines have tentatively scheduled limited inbound and outbound flights for this evening.
Passengers are reminded to call their airline reservation numbers or check the airline web sites for flight information before coming to the airport. Links to the airlines web sites can be found at www.rdu.com.
