MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Part-time law enforcement officer candidate must posses a minimum of 5 years law enforcement experience, and must be currently employed by a recognized public law enforcement agency and meet the North Carolina law enforcement officer certification standards required for employment by the Authority. That employment must meet the criteria for primary employment set forth by the U.S Department of Labor. Or, the candidate must be retired in good standing from a recognized public law enforcement agency in North Carolina and maintain eligibility for police officer certification.
SPECIAL NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS: Fulfill the duties of a sworn law enforcement officer serving the Authority with primary assignment to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security screening checkpoints, and at other locations or situations as deemed appropriate by the Chief of Police. They are expected to serve customers and employees with respect, fairness, and compassion, be committed to ensuring public safety and aviation security, preventing crime and protecting life and property.

Provides input into disaster recovery planning and testing related to networking components; supervises in troubleshooting efforts and resolves network problems, including all Layer 1,2, &3 issues; leads the deployment of the Authority’s Network Management / Monitoring system; leads in research, evaluation, and integration of new networking technologies and services; designs and supports all network related projects including capital project initiatives; responsible for all technical aspects of the organization’s VoIP systems; lead for SmartNet, TAC, and any other network support maintenance programs; develops and designs the network / VoIP portions of enhanced tenant service offerings; writes and implements procedures for network change control and produces reports; evaluates and performs capacity planning functions related to the telecommunication network infrastructure; oversees security audits and implements audit recommendations; communicates with internal and external consumers including middle and upper management, as appropriate, in order to ensure the delivery of high-quality service and technical network support; monitors organizational development projects to ensure consistency and satisfaction of technical interface requirements for existing network infrastructure; demonstrates broad technical knowledge, and is able to advise as well as help define strategic direction for the company; professionally represents the company from a technical perspective at peer reviews, conferences, and industry related meetings; translates business/functional system requirements into clear and concise instructions for self and other staff.
