It is the policy of the Authority to ensure that DBE certified companies, as defined in CFR 49 Part 26, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT-assisted contracts. It is our policy:
- To ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of USDOT-assisted contracts.
- To create a level playing field on which DBEs can compete fairly for USDOT-assisted contracts.
- To ensure only firms that fully meet the eligibility standards set forth in 49 CFR Part 26 are permitted to participate as DBEs.
- To help remove barriers to participation of DBEs in USDOT-assisted contracts.
- To assist the development of firms that can compete successfully in the market place outside the DBE program.
- To provide appropriate flexibility to recipients of federal financial assistance in establishing and providing opportunities for DBEs.
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority has proposed a 9% DBE goal for Federally funded projects for the FY 2008-09. Click here for public notice (58 KB PDF file).
