Environmental Compliance at RDU
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority's environmental department ensures that Raleigh-Durham International Airport remains in compliance with federal and state environmental regulations. Environmental and compliance activities include:
- Placing weirs in ponds on airport property to contain fuel spills.
- Collecting stormwater and drinking water samples to check water quality on airport property.
- Inspecting airport property for pollutants exposed to rainfall.
