Terminal 2 Takes Shape

Progress on Terminal 2 continued throughout the winter of 2008. The installation of the glass curtain wall was nearly complete. The walls for the restrooms, restaurants, shops and airline offices went up as the inside of the building began to take shape.

A large canopy extends from the airline check in level of Terminal 2. The canopy will protect passengers and their luggage from inclement weather.		A steel frame awaits walls for the Federal Inspection Services Facility for international passengers. The new FIS will allow for the processing of 400 passengers per hour.


Crews install glass curtain wall panels. The glass windows flood the airline check in area and concourse with natural light.		Looking down on the concourse provides a view of just one of the moving walkways that will transport passengers to and from their gates.

		The framework begins to be enclosed in these Fall 2007 photos. The New Teminal takes shape in the photos from Summer 2007. The installation of three baggage carousels is almost complete. When phase two is completed in 2011, the baggage claim area will feature five carousels.
