Dining in Terminal 1

When Terminal 1 reopens in March 2014, you can expect five new places to dine on the concourse.

These five restaurants are built around the themes of fresh, local and family friendly. And, with everything from paninis, wraps and steaks to burritos and burgers and fries there’s so much variety, the dining possibilities are nearly endless.

ACC American Café
The first officially licensed restaurant from the Atlantic Coast Conference athletic conference is perfectly placed at the center of the college basketball universe. This upscale full-service restaurant will feature a bar and lavishly appointed dining room and televisions broadcasting current and classic ACC games.

The menu features locally-sourced items and dishes featuring fresh, nutritious elements such as quinoa, almonds, spinach and all-natural honey in addition to steaks, seafood, sandwiches and pastas. Diners will enjoy tastes as diverse as the cities of the ACC including Boston Clam Chowder, N.C. barbecue, Georgia peach relish, Miami ceviche and tropical fruits. The restaurant will also feature children’s and a breakfast menu.

Also, the restaurant will sponsor scholarship opportunities to selected ACC schools as well as offer internships to students in restaurant management and culinary development fields. Inside the restaurant also find ACC memorabilia and images of the region’s sports teams.

La Tapenade Mediterranean Café
Named for a savory spread made from olives, capers and anchovies, La Tapenade Mediterranean Café will feature a range of flavors from throughout the Mediterranean using locally sourced ingredients and sauces and dishes made daily in-house.

Part restaurant, part marketplace, La Tapenade Mediterranean Café offers a broad menu of made-to-order flatbread sandwiches, paninis and wraps along with an extensive selection of daily, pre-made Grab ‘No Go sandwiches, salads and gourmet snacks that are easy to take with you to the gate or on the plane.

Also, enjoy fresh flat bread pizzas and a daily breakfast menu. LaTapenade also features a children’s menu and will serve beer and wine.

Char-Grill
Raleigh’s own Char-Grill will have a home in Terminal 1, co-located with Salsaritas Fresh Cantina. The Raleigh institution will offer its full menu of burgers, shakes and fries as well as a breakfast menu. You’ll also find several sweet treats as well as delicious N.C. barbecue sandwiches. Char-Grill will also offer a children’s menu.

Located together, Char-Grill will bring one of Raleigh’s favorite institutions to Terminal 1 while Salsaritas will offer endless options of build-your-own Mexican favorites.

Salsaritas Fresh Cantina
With fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and homemade sauces made daily on-site, Salsaritas Fresh Cantina will offer nearly endless flavors and combinations. You’ll be able to step up to the glass and watch your made-to-order salad, burrito, quesadilla, taco or bowl come together right in front of you.

The North Carolina-based restaurant will also a breakfast and children’s menu.

Starbucks
Rest easy. Starbucks is coming to Terminal 1 with a full menu of coffees, espressos, Frappuccinos, teas and more. You’ll also be able to enjoy tasty fresh baked treats along with Grab ‘N Go salads and other snack items. Frozen, iced or hot, coffee bliss is just a tall, grande or venti away.
