Airline and Flight Information

Airlines serving RDU offer 220 daily departures to more than 40 domestic and international destinations. In 2007, RDU welcomed two new airlines, eight new destinations and 30 additional daily departures.
ExpressJet joined RDU as a regional air carrier in May. Today, the airline offers daily nonstop service to Kansas City, New Orleans and San Antonio.
Midwest Connect arrived at RDU in June. The airline returned to RDU after six years to offer nonstop service to Milwaukee.
Throughout the year, airlines also increased service to Boston, Cleveland, New York Kennedy and Philadelphia.
In September, RDU welcomed back United Airlines, a great follow-up to their nonstop Denver flight which began in April 2007. American Eagle began nonstop service to Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport on November 4. The flight will accommodate business travelers between the two regions. Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is located in Bentonville, home to Wal-Mart’s corporate headquarters.
To kick off 2008, airlines serving RDU began new service to popular leisure destinations. Southwest and JetBlue began nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale, while AirTran began service to Orlando. Southwest also announced that it will begin daily nonstop service to Denver on May 10.
