Starbucks is Just the Beginning — New Restaurants at RDU

As construction around the airport illustrates major changes at RDU, inside the terminals changes are taking place as well. A new look for the new year is underway, as RDU’s concession partner, Anton-JQ RDU Joint Venture, adds new restaurants.

RDU will get its first Starbucks on the Terminal A concourse across from gate 16. High quality coffee is the cornerstone of Starbucks. Hand crafted hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, salads and pastries will be served here.

Happy Latte! Terminal A will open two Starbucks outlets in early 2007.

At the north end of Terminal A, Greenleaf’s Grill will add a Starbucks’ kiosk. This will be a full service beverage center with all of the standard Starbucks’ menu items. With this kiosk, passengers will have two locations to get their Starbuck’s fix.

New to RDU is Wolfgang Puck Gourmet Express. This new eatery is located in Terminal A in the former home of Edy’s Ice Cream. It will feature a contemporary fast-casual menu in an attractive setting with affordable pricing. The extensive menu features Wolfgang Puck’s sandwiches, soups and fresh salads. Even breakfast is covered with Wolfgang’s signature breakfast pizzas. This is sure to be a new favorite at RDU.

To better serve our travelers, RDU is expanding the popular Golden Corral and A & W restaurants at the Town Square Food Court in Terminal A. This expansion will allow the eateries to include such favorites as Carolina barbeque and soft serve ice cream, shakes and sundaes.

Fresh Attractions is another new restaurant to Terminal A. With a focus on fresh ingredients and fast preparation, this eatery will offer a variety of sandwiches and salads, as well as a wide selection of smoothies.

In an effort to provide more breakfast options to our travelers, RDU is opening three Great American Bagel restaurants in both Terminals A and C. These food and beverage outlets feature a variety of fresh bagels and spreads for breakfast, bagel sandwiches and salads for lunch and dinner, as well as pastries and premium coffee any time of the day. These restaurants will replace the Seattle’s Best/Vie de France coffee shops and provide more dining and coffee selections for travelers.

Terminal C
Cyber Café is getting a makeover. Gone are the days of computer cubicles; now travelers will log onto WiFi service wherever they choose to sit in the cafe. More seating and tables will also be added to accommodate more customers.

At the south end of the concourse, the popular Pinehurst Village Brewery and Maui Taco restaurants are adding patio-style seating on the concourse.
