Annual Holiday Music Series Returns

Once again, the sounds of the holidays are soon to fill RDU’s terminals and concourses as the airport’s annual music series returns for the Thanksgiving and year-end holidays.

Local artists will bring a variety of musical genres into the terminals beginning Tuesday, Nov. 24. Groups include Bo Lankenau and Friends, Kevin Van Sant Trio and the Tim Smith Trio. The popular Tuba Brass Band will be featured in the parking garage atrium on Sunday, Nov. 29.

The series returns for the year-end holidays on Sunday, Dec. 20. Groups include Southern Routes, Chris Keller with the Tim Smith Duo, One Sun and more. The series ends for 2009 on Thursday, Dec. 24.

Groups will perform in the pre-security areas of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. See the full schedule.

Face painting will also be offered for children on Wednesday, Nov. 25 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and on Tuesday, Dec. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Terminal 2.
