Annual Holiday Music Series Returns
Once again, the sounds of the holidays are soon to fill RDU’s terminals and concourses as the airport’s annual music series returns for the Thanksgiving and year-end holidays.
Local artists will bring a variety of musical genres into the terminals beginning Tuesday, Nov. 24. Groups include Bo Lankenau and Friends, Kevin Van Sant Trio and the Tim Smith Trio. The popular Tuba Brass Band will be featured in the parking garage atrium on Sunday, Nov. 29.
This holiday season, members of the military and their families will have a special place to relax in RDU’s Terminal 2. Archer Western Contractors, the general contractor for the Terminal 2 construction project, is underwriting a temporary USO Center located in the ticketing lobby of the airport’s newest terminal. The facility opened on Friday, Nov. 20 and will close on Jan. 6, 2010.
Whether departing, arriving or meeting someone at RDU, the airport can be a busy place during the holidays. We’ve prepared some simple tips to help you simplify your experience traveling through RDU this year.
