Extra Assistance Available for Passengers This Season

Passengers traveling through RDU this season will find a little extra assistance to help them navigate through the airport during the busiest travel times.

Holiday Operations Team
Typically, RDU is busiest in the early morning hours and late afternoons as flights depart from here to feed the major national hubs. To help passengers during these especially busy times of day, the airport is once again enacting its Holiday Operations Team.

Employees from RDU's administrative offices will be stationed throughout the ticketing and baggage claim areas of each terminal between 5-8 a.m. and 5-8 p.m. on peak travel days. Additionally, employees may be stationed in the parking garage atrium if the need arises.

These employees will be wearing RDU badges and are ready to help guide passengers with directional questions or to provide basic information about flights and procedures.

Terminal 1 Luggage Assistance
This year, the Airport Authority has contracted with local service providers to assist passengers with the transportation of their luggage from the passenger drop off and commercial curbs to the ticketing lobby of Terminal 1.

When arriving on the Terminal 1 curb, look for individuals with reflective vests clearly marked for the free baggage assistance service. Luggage assistance will be available during peak travel hours throughout the holiday season.
