RDU’s Familiar Terminals A and C Give Way To Terminals 1 and 2

On the night of October 25, a major change occurred at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Terminal A was renamed Terminal 1 and Terminal C closed as Terminal 2 opened.

Terminal 2: Setting Our Sights on Phase II

Airport Director Editorial

October 26, 2008. Another date in the history of RDU to be long remembered. The first phase of new Terminal 2 opens, and, better yet, it performs as designed and intended. Problems are few and minor in nature, our passengers and tenants love it, international arrivals no longer have to go through security screening upon exiting the federal inspections area, and there aren’t any TSA explosives detection machines taking up much of the space in the ticketing area. It’s a winner!! Everyone is proud.

Holiday Travelers To Find Airport Changes

People heading through RDU this holiday season are likely to find a number of new changes alongside familiar airport holiday traditions.

Travelers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the changes that have occurred over the past few months to reduce confusion, stress and travel delays.
