Non-stop service between RDU and Charles de Gaulle Airport becomes a reality this Spring when Delta Air Lines initiates service to Paris on June 2.
The flight, in partnership with Air France, will provide one-stop connections through Charles de Gaulle Airport to more than 160 destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Following years of planning and construction, Terminal 2 at Raleigh-Durham International Airport officially opened for business on Sunday, October 26.
Shortly before 6 a.m., a steady stream of passengers could be seen heading down the concourse to the boarding areas for American Airlines, Air Canada and United Airlines.
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority decided earlier this year to change the terminal names for several reasons.

Over the past few months, Raleigh-Durham International Airport has been opening new chapters in history. Terminal 2: Setting Our Sights on Phase II Airport Director Editorial
October 26, 2008. Another date in the history of RDU to be long remembered. The first phase of new Terminal 2 opens, and, better yet, it performs as designed and intended. Problems are few and minor in nature, our passengers and tenants love it, international arrivals no longer have to go through security screening upon exiting the federal inspections area, and there aren’t any TSA explosives detection machines taking up much of the space in the ticketing area. It’s a winner!! Everyone is proud.
People heading through RDU this holiday season are likely to find a number of new changes alongside familiar airport holiday traditions.
Travelers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the changes that have occurred over the past few months to reduce confusion, stress and travel delays.
Each day, Raleigh-Durham International Airport’s visitor services staff helps hundreds of passengers navigate their way through not only the airport, but also the Research Triangle Region.
