ExitExpress — The Only Way To Pay For Parking


Two years ago, RDU introduced an automated way to pay for parking called ExitExpress. Use of ExitExpress has shown how convenient and efficient the system is for RDU customers.

ExitExpress will now be the only way to pay for parking in the garage located between Terminals A and Terminal C.

ExitExpress is easy to use. Pick up a ticket at the entrance plaza and tuck it in your wallet or purse as you leave your car. As you return to your car, pay at one of the ExitExpress pay stations located between the terminals and parking garage. Insert your parking ticket and pay with cash or credit card. Then take your ticket and a receipt from the machine. Insert your validated ticket at the exit plaza.

To enhance use of ExitExpress, RDU has implemented changes at the exit plaza. Now all exit plaza lanes except for one will be for ExitExpress or credit card payments. Paying for parking is now faster and easier than ever.

Tips for Using ExitExpress

  • You can use cash at the machines, unless they say ‘Credit Card Only.'
  • Use ExitExpress even if you have only been at the aiport one hour and your fee is $1.
  • If you forget your ticket in your car, use an exit lane marked Paid Ticket/Credit Card and pay with credit card to exit.
  • You can get a receipt from any ExitExpress machine. At the cash/credit machines just press the “Receipt” button.
  • First time users can get assistance by pressing the ‘Help' button on the machine.
  • If you lose your ticket, go to the lane at the exit plaza marked Assistance.
