Anton Airfoods Recognized for
Superior Service |
Anton Airfoods provides food and beverage service to many restaurants at RDU. Under the excellent leadership of general manager Tim Meyer, Anton Airfood's restaurants at RDU increased sales by 23 percent during his first year on the job. Meyer received the 2004 Chairman's Award from Anton for rejuvenating the RDU operation.
As general manager, Meyer is responsible for 250 employees and 18 restaurants. Anton generates almost $13 million in sales per year at RDU. On November 23, 2004, the RDU operations broke the company's record for single day sales. |

Maui Taco is one of the great restaurants managed by Anton Airfoods. |
Tim Meyer has been the general manager of the Anton Airfoods' operation at RDU for almost two years. One of the major changes Meyer instituted was changing hours to accommodate travelers who arrived early or late in the day. According to Meyer, the first thing you have to do is look at the customers' needs and then work toward meeting those needs.
Anton Airfoods is one of the premier airport food and beverage operators in the industry. At RDU, Anton Airfoods operates 18 restaurants including: Carolina Varsity Grill, Pinehurst Village Brewery, Triangle Cyber Café, Maui Tacos, A&W All-American Food, Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits, and many others.
Congratulations to Tim Meyer and his team for the accolades and for putting the customer first in their operations.

Construction is a Sign of Growth at RDU |
RDU is redeveloping and expanding Terminal C. Throughout the various construction phases there will be changes that occur that will impact RDU travelers. Recently, the north and south crosswalks have been removed, to be replaced by a larger central pedestrian bridge. The new center walkway will open in October 2005.
All passengers using the terminal area parking complex will have to use the upper level of Terminal C to access the parking garage. This is due to changes that are being made as part of the Terminal C project. |
 |
Construction continues on a portion of the parking garage across from Terminal C. The left lane in front of lower level Terminal C has been closed as crews build an additional lane on Terminal Boulevard. The new lane will make space for a curb for commercial vehicles, including RDU Park & Ride and hotel shuttles.
For more information, be sure to visit the construction impact page on our Web site, which includes a map illustrating the various construction impacts. |
